In the 19th century, the combustion engine revolutionized the world. The Timeburner is the watchmaker's interpretation of this paradigm shift.

Just as an engine converts chemical energy (gasoline) into mechanical energy (movement), the Timeburner converts the winding via the spark plug (crown) into mechanical movement through the owner's ignition and drives the piston along a non-linear time scale. This piston replaces the hands for determining and reading the time.
