Oris was founded in 1904. Since the management buy-out in 1982, the company has been owned by members of the Board of Directors and company management.

Oris decided back in 1985, long before the mechanical boom of recent years, to focus exclusively on the manufacture of mechanical watches. This strategy remains unchanged to this day. Products from Oris are aimed at people with a passion for mechanical timepieces who are looking for genuine, contemporary values.

The collection is specifically tailored to customer wishes in the four Oris theme worlds of motor sports, diving, aviation and culture, true to the motto: Real watches for real people.
