With Carl Suchy & Söhne, Austria's luxury watch brand from the Danube Monarchy has been brought back to life: the Waltz N°1 combines the great heritage of Viennese Modernism around 1900 with production in Switzerland. 

 

Imperial heritage. Emperor Franz Joseph, Empress Sisi, Sigmund Freud - Austria's most prominent personalities have always been regular customers of Carl Suchy & Söhne, the leading supplier of clocks to the Imperial and Royal Court. 

 

Viennese charm. The design of the Waltz N°1 is inspired by the minimalist aesthetics of Austrian architect Adolf Loos and modernism. The unmistakable second hand in the form of a rotating disk at six o'clock provides Viennese charm: once a minute, the guilloche pattern of the “waltz disk” merges with that of the dial - for the Viennese attitude to life, in which the single second does not count.
